Today we are seeing for the first time the RTX 2070 Aero ITX graphics card based on the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 GPU, the first and only ITX form factor GPU that uses Nvidia's Turing architecture.

MSI RTX 2070 Aero ITX - A compact graphics card but without NVLink or VirtualLink

This graphics card is intended for those users who are looking for or have a compact computer and want to add some graphics power in a small size. To achieve this size, MSI has had to make a sacrifice, dispense with an NVLink connection, among other things. This seems logical, considering that the virtue is its small size, and for a SLI configuration it does not make much sense to bet on graphics cards in ITX format, or does it?

The card also lacks a VirtualLink port for VR, this may be a problem in the future with DisplayLink-compatible displays or VR glasses (If you plan to buy one), although there are not many devices of this type now, so there it's a problem right now. For display outputs, you get three DisplayPort connections and a single HDMI 2.0 connection that is less than that of a Founders Edition card, although again this is another drawback when selecting an ITX-size card.

This MSI model comes without factory overclocking, which seems like a good idea considering that it uses a single fan and has to deal with the 175w of power that the normal card uses.

Pricing and availability

At the time of writing this article, the release date and price of the MSI Nvidia RTX 2070 Aero ITX is not available, although we expect it to be around 500 euros due to its small size, cheaper than other graphics cards customized.
