MSI has added one more product to its iconic Lightning graphics card series, with the introduction of the RTX 2080 Ti Lightning Z.

MSI RTX 2080 Ti Lightning Z - It is the highest performance model

This graphics card not only boasts the highest frequencies for the RTX 2080 Ti within the MSI brand, but also offers users unique lighting effects, a 'dynamic' OLED panel, an impressive carbon backplate with a Unique refrigerator design that optimizes both thermal performance and low noise levels.

The company is rolling out Lightning Z and Lightning series graphics cards (dry), with the Z model featuring a large factory overclocking (Boost 1770 MHz), while the standard Lightning graphics card ships with a Boost less than Nvidia's Founders Edition. The Lightning Z is the star of the show, but we think it's worth noting that there is a low-end model that features significantly less performance due to its frequencies. The memory is of the GDDR6 type with 11GB of capacity.

MSI also plans to ship its RTX 2080 Ti Lightning graphics cards with an integrated OLED panel, which allows users to display important information on their graphics cards such as fan speeds, thermal data, GPU / memory clock speeds, or custom images / animations. This feature is called Dynamic Dashboard and it is controllable by MSI software.

The graphics card occupies three slots and uses a Torx 3.0 three-fan cooling system. To power the board, you need 3 8-pin connectors and use 16 power phases.

Available later this month

As for the display output, the RTX 2080 Ti Lightning is compatible with HDMI 2.0, VirtualLink and has three DisplayPort 1.4 outputs. MSI expects its RTX 2080 Ti Lightning to be available later this January.
