Msi introduces the geforce gtx 980 ti v1
MSI has just unveiled its GeForce GTX 980 Ti V1 graphics card. Although MSI applied an assembler's own custom design, the reality is that it is based on Nvidia's reference design, with the exception that in this case, MSI has chosen its own components and has given a fresher touch to the cover.
This move allows MSI to increase its profits generated by this card, since it only buys Nvidia the GPU, instead of a fully assembled reference PCB; but clearly the MSI PCB has a design very close to the reference one.
The heat sink immersed under the housing has a design very similar to that of the NVTTM (Nvidia time to market) model in black. In any case, both the heatsink and the housing (made of a silver plastic added to a black metal " Backplate ") are designed by MSI itself.
This card, in order not to get out of the script of the Nvidia reference model, will have some frequencies of stock, which translate into 1000Mhz / 1076Mhz Boost for the GPU and 7.0Ghz for memory.
The price of this card at the time of its launch is 575 Euros.
