It seems that AMD was waiting for the presentation of the GeForce GTX 1060 to give its partners permission to show their own custom Radeon RX 480, If we have seen the PowerColor solution before now it is the turn of the MSI Radeon RX 480 GAMING X which promises to be one of the best models based on AMD's new Polaris 10 architecture.

MSI Radeon RX 480 GAMING X technical features

The new MSI Radeon RX 480 GAMING X uses a custom PCB to bring to life its brand new Ellesmere GPU made up of 36 Compute Units and totaling 2304 Stream Processors, 144 TMUs and 32 ROPs along with 8 GB of GDDR5 memory with a bandwidth of 256 GB / s.

The board uses the acclaimed Twin Frozr VI heatsink consisting of a dense aluminum finned radiator, multiple heatpipes, and a pair of fans for high cooling efficiency. MSI has also built a custom PCB with a 4 + 2 phase VRM and powered by a single 8 pin power connector. The back of the PCB is covered by a black backplate that helps increase its rigidity, thus preventing the card from bending.

The MSI Radeon RX 480 GAMING X offers multiple video outputs in the form of 1 x DVI, 3x DisplayPort and 1x HDMI to suit the needs of a large number of users. Like all Radeon RX 480 custom will go on sale throughout the month of July.
