MSI has announced the launch of the new X370 Gaming Pro motherboard for the AMD AM4 platform, this solution is in addition to the previous X370 Gaming Pro Carbon and X370 Gaming Pro Carbon AC, so the manufacturer already has three motherboards of this popular one series for the new AMD Ryzen processors.

MSI X370 Gaming Pro: features, availability and price

The MSI X370 Gaming Pro is based on a different PCB and includes a bit more trim features than the Carbon model. We have a 10-phase VRM that is responsible for feeding the CPU with great electrical stability to improve its chances of overclocking. We also found the same expansion slots in the form of two PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots, a third PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot with x4 electrical operation, and a PCI-Express 3.0 x1 slot for an expansion card.

Best motherboards on the market in 2017

The differences are found in the storage possibilities. The MSI X370 Gaming Pro includes a total of six SATA III 6GB / s ports just like its big sisters but only one M.2 slot with the MSI M.2 Shield. Another big difference lies in the lighting system, which this time is red and not RGB, despite this, you can still configure the color intensity using the Mystic Light Sync application.

The third difference is found in the Gigabit Ethernet controller, this time we have a Realtek RTL8111H chipset that belongs to a lower range than the Intel I211AT of its older sisters. The rest of its specifications are the same as the other two models including 2 USB 3.1 ports and USB VR Boos ports. It will go on sale on April 11 for an approximate price of 150 euros.
