MSI has announced the launch of a new motherboard with socket LGA 2011-3 from Intel, it is the MSI X99S MPower that has been specially designed to offer maximum levels of overclocking.
MSI has provided the X99S MPower with a powerful 12-phase VRM powered by Military Class 4 components that is responsible for properly powering Intel Haswell-E processors for LGA 2011-3 socket. Surrounding the socket we find 8 DDR4 DIMM slots that allow installing up to 128 GB of RAM at a maximum frequency of 3, 333 Mhz (OC).
Regarding the graphic options, it has 3 PCI-Express 3.0 slots that allow SLI / Crossfire 3-way configurations, it also incorporates 2 PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots. It has a total of 10 SATA III 6GB / s ports, one SATA Express port and one M.2 port. Its connectivity options continue with the inclusion of a total of 18 USB ports, including 12 USB 3.0 and 6 USB 2.0 via chipset and VIA and AsMedia controllers.
Its specifications are completed with HD 7.1 audio using the Realtek ALC1150 chip and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity with the Intel I210 chip. Includes voltage measurement points, possibility to disable unused PCI-E slots, Go2BIOS and DirectOC.
It has an approximate price of 240 euros.
