We return with another review of a PC chassis for the most demanding users, this time we have with us the Nfortec Perseus which offers us the possibility of mounting a very high-end system with a very minimalist but highly attractive aesthetic. Most notable is the inclusion of a large tempered glass side window and a translucent front that will look luxurious with lighting from the included fans.

Nfortec Perseus technical characteristics

Unboxing and design

The Nfortec Perseus comes with a large cardboard box in which we can see an image of the chassis on the front and its main specifications and characteristics on the different sides of the box. We open the cardboard box and we find the chassis very well protected by corks and a plastic bag so that the product reaches the hands of the final consumer in perfect condition. In addition to the chassis we find a spare PCI-Express slot cover, a tray for the installation of a hard disk and a bag with all the necessary screws and plastic cable ties.

We are already focusing on the Nfortec Perseus chassis, it is an ATX semi-tower with dimensions of 450 x 205x 493 mm and a brushed aluminum finish that gives it a look of great quality while helping to maintain more weight lighter than SECC steel.

Nfortec Perseus is committed to an extremely minimalist design, so the front is completely clean and we only found the brand's logo in a fairly small size. In the lower area we find the logo of the brand that is responsible for breaking the possible excess of monotony in its design.

If we remove the front we reveal the two 120mm fans included as standard, these are made of transparent plastic and include LED lighting to improve the aesthetics of the equipment in operation. The front is translucent so the aesthetics of the team with the lighting of the fans will be spectacular.

In the upper area we find the control panel with its various connectors and buttons, specifically we have the power button, a SD and Micro SD card reader, 3.5 mm mini jack ports for audio and microphone output, 2 USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port and power and hard drive LEDs.

On the main side of the tower we can see a large tempered glass window on the main side, something that is increasingly common and it is not for less when all the internal components already offer a highly detailed aesthetic with RGB LED lighting included.

While on the other side we find it completely smooth.

On the back of the chassis we see its 7 expansion slots, the 120mm fan and the hole for the power supply at the bottom as it could not be otherwise. It is increasingly difficult to find a chassis with the source area at the top and it is totally logical since the bottom area is much better, with this we avoid eating all the heat generated by the other components.

We reach the bottom where we find four plastic legs finished in rubber to absorb vibrations and the grill for the air inlet to the power supply.

Interior and assembly

To access the interior of the Nfortec Perseus we only have to remove both side panels. As we can see the interior of the chassis is painted in black so it offers an aesthetic very similar to the external part. In this chassis we will be able to place an ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX format unit , so it will be adjusted to the needs of a large number of users. We see that the manufacturer has installed abundant cable glands to facilitate the user to manage the wiring in the assembly of the equipment, something highly valued by the most demanding and which allows maintaining an air flow as clean as possible.

Hardware cooling won't be a problem on this chassis, it supports CPU coolers up to 170mm and graphics cards up to 360mm making it compatible with almost every processor cooler on the market if not all, too It will allow us to install a very high-end graphics card to have an excellent performance in the most demanding video games.

We come to the storage section and the possibilities of the Nfortec Perseus are quite wide, we have two interior cages for the installation of up to 7 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch hard drives so we can have a team with enormous storage capacity, it will also allow us perfectly combine all the advantages of SSDs and mechanical disks in the same team. We also see 3 bays for installing 5.25-inch indoor units. We highlight that one of the hard drive cages can be removed to allow the installation of a longer graphics card.

In the upper area of the chassis we can install two additional 120mm fans to improve air flow and therefore the cooling of the hardware, something especially recommended if we are going to mount a very high-end equipment with a large generation of heat. We can also install a third additional fan next to the power supply at the bottom of the chassis.

Some photos of a short montage. The truth that it has cost a lot to fit the motherboard and the build quality is not what we expected.

Final words and conclusion about Nfortec Perseus

The Nfortec Perseus is a very interesting box for "low cost" equipment. Since it offers us a rather fine design as the possibility of installing medium quality components. Although their finishes, materials and fans are not the best, they do match with mid-range equipment. I would not disagree with a Ryzen 5 or an i5 processor.

The assembly is expensive and you have to be very careful, since the internal sheets can be easily bent. The assembly must be done calmly and with great dedication. An example is the plastic that fit the hard drive into the bay, which came to us bent. We believe that these are details that must be kept in mind and that they do not fail again in future reviews.

We recommend reading the best boxes on the market.

It allows us to install ATX, micro ATX and ITX motherboards, along with a 170 mm heatsink and a 36 cm long graphics card if we remove the first hard drive cabinet. The fans can be purchased in both blue and red LEDs, in our case they are blue. They are low-end, but offer enough cooling for good air flow.

Its store price is just 54 euros. Although its price is small, the competition is maximum in the lower quota of 60 euros. It is an elegant box and must be taken into account, but its defects must be known. We recommend it for low or medium range equipment.
