As has happened with virtually all Nintendo consoles, the emulation of the Nintendo Switch has started with RyujiNX.
The Binding of Isaac and Cave Story are the first Nintendo Switch games emulated by RyujiNX
Earlier this month we learned of the existence of the first Nintendo Switch emulator. RyujiNX is an emulator programmed in C #, with the aim of offering good performance and a friendly interface for emulating games.
During this week the first videos have emerged showing the emulator with some 'simple' Switch games, specifically two games, The Binding of Isaac and Cave Story. Both games are far from being 'playable' , but the fact that emulation is possible one year after launch, gives high hopes of being able to enjoy the catalog of this great console on PC.
In other words, don't expect to play Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Splatoon 2, or Super Mario Odyssey in the near future. Still, this is a great step to emulate and run Nintendo Switch games on RyujiNX.
To give you an idea, being able to emulate PlayStation 3 games has only been possible a few months ago, we are talking about a console that is already 9 years old. Nintendo Switch takes its first steps in emulation just 1 year after its release.
We will keep you informed about the progress of this RyujiNX emulator for the successful Japanese console.
