Windows 10 Mobile phones will only receive security updates
Windows 10 Mobile may have been dead for some time (since October officially), but fans are still hoping the Windows maker can get back to work on a mobile operating system. However, things are getting a little more desperate right now.
Microsoft has confirmed that there will be no more preview versions for Windows 10 Mobile, both in the fast and slow ring. This does not mean that security updates do not continue to arrive to those owners of a Windows Mobile phone. Support for security updates will be active until 2020, so until those dates we can continue to use a phone with this system in a 'safe' way, but new functions or anything like that will not arrive.
No mobile builds are coming.

This comes as no surprise to us, but it is a disappointment to members of the Insider program, as Microsoft had said that this program would continue. While the company had previously suggested that Preview builds would continue and many fans eagerly waited, LeBlanc and Jason Howard , the senior program director for the Windows Insider Team, confirmed the end of the road for Windows 10 Mobile development.
This news comes amid rumors of a hypothetical Surface Phone. The thing is, Microsoft's abandonment of Windows 10 Mobile doesn't mean they were working on a phone. Since Redmond have a dream that a desktop computer and a phone share the same system completely, so you can imagine where the shots are going to go.
