Nox Hummer TGF is the top-of-the-range chassis at this time of the Spanish brand and comes with characteristics especially in the visual section that will surprise you. A semi-tower that has darkened tempered glass panels on all its faces that allow us to see through them the impressive lighting section with the four pre-installed Nox RGB Raimbow fans. They make this set one of the most recommended and affordable options for assembling a gaming device with the best current hardware components.

And we have had the pleasure of accessing this chassis to see what it can offer us. We start with our Nox Hummer TGF review, do not miss it because it may be the option you are looking for.

First of all, thank Nox for the trust in our team to give us their product for this analysis.

Nox Hummer TGF technical characteristics

Unboxing and design

And of course, start this review of Nox Hummer TGF showing the packaging. It is, as always, a fairly large neutral cardboard box, mainly due to the height of this chassis. On its two sides when with a presentation in black ink of the sketch of the chassis and its make and model. On the front of this box we find a list of its main characteristics, a very useful detail for the user's first glance.

The chassis is wrapped in a plastic bag and fixed on two of its sides by its corresponding expanded polystyrene corks to avoid movements and knocks. Especially in this model it is something fundamental, since four of its six faces are formed by tempered glass panels, something very prone to receiving fatal blows.

Precisely for this reason and for being one of the flagships of the brand, it would not have hurt to have some extra protection, for example, on the sides and the top to avoid damage, but it has not been so.

The next thing will be to proceed to the unpacking of this Nox Hummer TGF, an action that we already have recorded with fire of so many chassis that have passed through our hands. In this sense, highlight the great weight of this chassis, in the specifications it is supposedly 7 Kg, but we would swear that they are at least 8. Perhaps it is that we are getting old, but it weighs a lot.

To access the screws and fastening components it will be necessary to remove the right glass plate. All these components are stored in a small plastic bag. As usual, we do not have instructions paper, and in this case it would be useful at least to know how to disassemble the upper glass of this chassis or some other curiosities.

Nox Hummer TGF is undoubtedly a different chassis and it will take all our care and cleaning skills to make your windows sparkle. We have nothing more and nothing less than four faces covered with 4mm thick tempered glass panels, left side, right side, front and top face. In these last three, the glass finish is slightly darkened so that in the absence of lighting we cannot see the guts inside. This makes the base finish very elegant and Premium even if illuminated.

The inner chassis is constructed of 0.6mm thick SPCC steel fully painted black

Speaking a little more about its left glass panel, it is installed by means of four manual thread screws and with fixing of gorma elements to avoid vibrations and contacts with the metal. This window does not have an opaque edge, so it will leave visible the parts where it is attached, something that in our humble opinion on this type of chassis.

The measures of Nox Hummer TGF are 445 mm deep, 226 mm wide and 535 mm high, it is a really slim chassis with more than 50 cm high. The manufacturer assures that its weight is 7 Kg.

We now turn to see the front of this semi-tower that has more than what we see. It is made up entirely of 4mm thick darkened tempered glass, as the only extra detail we see the logo of its model "Hummer" in chrome style. At the top we find the I / O panel and at the bottom we have a gap between the floor support and the front to extract it manually.

We appreciate a separation between the glass and the rest of the chassis whose objective is to allow the passage of air into the interior.

We extract this front to see its interior in more detail. And the first positive thing we found is that it is completely separable from the rest of the chassis, something that will allow us to work perfectly with the fans and cleaning.

The glass holder is made of plastic and has an anti-dust mesh to filter the air flow that enters the entire lateral part of the tempered glass. As we said, the separation of this from the chassis is for the passage of air.

In the other part we see in all its splendor the three Nox Rainbow 120 mm fans that come pre-installed in Nox Hummer TGF. Something also extremely positive.

The upper part has a very similar aspect to the front, since we have all this part covered by a darkened tempered glass and slightly separated from the chassis to allow air flow to the interior or to the exterior. Likewise, at the rear we also have a ventilation grille with an anti-dust mesh to expand, if possible, the air flow.

The I / O panel of Nox Hummer TGF is located between the front and the upper area. In this panel we will have the following elements and connections:

  • 2x USB 3.0 Ports 2x USB 2.0 Ports 3.5mm Audio In & Out Jack Microphone Fan Speed Control Button RGB Control Button Power On / Off Button Small RESET Button Hard Drive Activity Light

It is undoubtedly a panel with enough connectivity and well located aesthetically in the chassis

On the right side we have another large tempered glass panel with the same fixing system as the left window, four hand screws and rubber couplings to protect the element. The glass also has darkening so that the interior is not seen completely.

The rear of this Nox Hummer TGF itself is metallic, and practically the same as its sister chassis. We will have a lower area occupied by the compartment for the installation of the power supply.

Next, we will have a middle area where there are 7 expansion slots initially covered by perforated metal plates and perfectly removable by removing the screws. For a better fixing of the expansion cards we have a metal sheet fixed by a manual screw.

Finally, in the upper part, in addition to the previously mentioned ventilation hole, we find the hole for the connection panel of the motherboard and a grille for the extraction of air from inside the chassis. As in the front, we already have a 120mm Nox Rainbow fan installed at the factory

Finally, we moved the lower part of the Nox Hummer TGF to find two structures that cover the entire width of the chassis and that have the corresponding supports for the floor.

In the central area there are two holes that simulate two separate holes for the installation of fans, although it apparently does not seem possible to do this. The only use of these holes is to allow air flow to the hard drives and the power supply. Of course, it has a basic anti-dust mesh.

To finish at both ends, although it is not well appreciated in the photograph we also have ventilation holes protected by metal grilles.

Interior and assembly

We remove the two crystals to make way into the Nox Hummer TGF. This chassis features a hardware bay exactly like its predecessor Nox Hummer Fusion, capable of housing ATX, Micro ATX, and ITX boards. The distribution of the holes for the passage of cables is exactly the same and the configuration for the plate and hard disks as well. The fairing for the installation of PSU and hard drives is also the same.

We do not say that it is negative, but we expect a minimum of innovation in this regard, for example, the possibility of installing SSD units on top of the PSU fairing or rubber caps for the cables.

Nox Hummer TGF has an excellent capacity to introduce Premium range hardware, with capacity for CPU Heatsinks up to 179 mm and graphics cards up to 370 mm long.

Regarding the storage section, we will have the possibility of installing two 3.5- inch hard drives in the lower compartment next to the power supply, and two 2.5-inch hard drives or SSDs on the side next to the motherboard.

The cable management compartment is 28mm thick, enough space to introduce enough element density. We do miss elements for routing cables, but the clips should fulfill these functions perfectly.

We must speak of no, of the integrated microcontroller to control the synchronization of the fans and their speed. In addition, it has capacity for a total of 8 fans and 4 bands of LED lighting.

As last and not least, we must analyze the ventilation and cooling section. All gamer chassis must be analyzed in detail in this regard and this will be no exception. In addition to the elements already described in the external analysis of Nox Hummer TGF we will have the following possibilities:

Fan configuration:

  • Front: 120mm x3 (included) Rear: 120mm x1 (included) Top: 120mm x2 / 140mm x2

This makes a total of 6 fans of which we already have nothing more and nothing less than 4 of them, something very important in these times. In addition, during operation the noise of the fans is hardly noticeable, since the crystals are an excellent soundproofing element.

We are missing the possibility of installing 140 mm fans in the front, although we already have 3 of 120 so why ask for more.

Cooling configuration:

  • Front: 240mm / 280mm Rear: 120mm / 140mm Top: 240mm / 280mm

Definitely an outstanding section as we could not expect less. Having the maximum capacity in all three compartments is something necessary in a chassis with these features.

Finally we show some images of the final result of the installation. We have not had any Preble either in the management of wiring or in the assembly of components. And as you can see the result is completely clean.

Final words and conclusion about Nox Infinity Signa

Nox Hummer TGF is the benchmark chassis for Nox and its performance shows this. Its exterior completely covered in darkened tempered glass makes it very elegant and reinforces the feeling of quality construction and its materials. If we add the lighting section with its four RGB Raimbow fans they give a spectacular result, but without being tacky as in other models that we see on the market.

The front we find it located in an excellent position that allows good access to the control of fans and lighting and a lot of connectivity with the 4 USBs. Another very important aspect is the possibility of completely removing the front to work on the fans.

The assembly made has high-end hardware such as an AMD Ryzen 2700X processor , Asus motherboard, AMD RX Venga 56 graphics card, 16 GB DDR4 and 80Plus Platinum power supply, great hardware for a large chassis.

We also recommend our article on the best chassis of the moment

The ventilation section is another is the great strengths of this chassis since we have 4 fans that independently would cost us at least 50 euros. In addition, the air inlets and outlets are very well maintained, quite spacious and protected from dust.

For its part, the cable management is good, although it could be better if it had elements to route the cables, it is something that is requested in a chassis of this type, in addition to the continuist philosophy by the brand in its chassis such as the Hummer Fusion in this aspect is improvable, although not negative, because the base from which they start is very good

To finish we must talk about the economic section, Nox Hummer TGF is available in the market for a surprising recommended price of 100 euros, so for us it is a highly recommended product given the experience we have had with it.
