New asrock x99 extreme11 board

ASRock has announced the launch of a new motherboard with LGA 2011-3 socket characterized by its wide connectivity possibilities and the possibility of housing 4 maximum performance GPUs. The new ASRock X99 Extreme 11 has a LGA socket 2011-3 powered by a 12-phase VRM surrounded by eight DDR4 DIMM slots that allow the installation of up to 128GB of RAM at 3200 MHz (OC). Regarding the graphic possibilities, the board has five PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots equipped with two PLX PEX 8747 chips that allow 4-Way SLI or CrossFireX configurations at x16 / x16 / x16 / x16 ensuring maximum performance.

Regarding storage, the ASRock X99 Extreme 11 has 18 SATA III ports at 6 GB / s, of which 8 ports can function as 12 GB / s SAS-3 thanks to the LSI SAS 3008 controller. All this is joined by a double Ultra M.2 interface at 2.8 GB / s.

The rest of the features include an active cooling system that is in charge of cooling both the chipset and the VRM by means of a copper heatpipe, the presence of power and reset buttons, a LED debug, switches in order to deactivate the PCI-E slots not in use, two eSATA ports, dual Gibabit Ethernet interface, 7.1-channel Purity Sound audio using the Realtek ALC 1150 chip.

Lastly, the board has components from the Super Alloy category, including Dual-N (UDM) MOSFETs and Nichicon 12K Platinum capacitors.
