Asus has announced the launch of the new Asus Prime J4005I-C motherboard with a Mini ITX form factor and a SoC based on the Gemini Lake generation of Intel, thus offering the possibility of mounting a very compact format system, and with great benefits for day to day.

Launched the Asus Prime J4005I-C with an Intel Celeron J4005 processor

The Asus Prime J4005I-C mounts the Intel Celeron J4005 quad core processor, it is built with the 14nm manufacturing process and is very energy efficient. On top of the processor is placed an aluminum heatsink that will be more than enough to handle the little heat generated by this chip. The motherboard is powered by a 24-pin ATX connector and a 4-pin ATX connector.

We continue to see the specs of the Asus Prime J4005I-C with two DDR4 DIMM slots supporting a maximum of 8GB of DDR4 2400 memory in dual chanel configuration. An M.2 PCIe gen 2.0 x2 slot has also been included in order to make use of a high-performance SSD, a second M.2 slot accommodates WLAN / Bluetooth cards. Also not lacking are two SATA III 6GB / s ports for traditional hard drives, four USB 3.0 ports, LVDS D-Sub and HDMI video outputs , a Gigabit network interface, and a 6-channel audio engine.

For now the price has not been announced so we will have to wait a little longer to know if it is worth it.
