Just out of the AM4 socket, the first rumors of a new AMD platform with X390 and X399 chipset begin. Where curiously we see Quad Channel support and a scheme quite similar to that of a very enthusiastic platform.

New AMD X390 and X399 platform?

If these diagrams are true we would see a total of 8 memory modules in Quad Channel, four PCI Express x16 connections, support for a SLOT M.2 NVMe 22110, two PCI Express X8 connections and one PCI Express X1 connection. Nothing bad!

Already in storage we find the surprise of 6 SATA connections and a SLOT U.2. The latter we hope that discs will arrive very soon at a competitive price. Along with two Intel i211AT RED cards.

From the diagrams we see signs that it is an Asus motherboard. How do we know? By the two LANGuard chips and the chip in charge of RGB Aura lighting. The socket's code name would be AM44.

AMD X399 for AMD Naples?

We recommend reading the best motherboards on the market.

Among the diagrams we also find the possibility of a second platform where AMD Naples with ECC memory is used. A really interesting architecture for high performance servers and workstations.

What do you think? Do you expect much more from this platform or will it not have as much expectation as with AMD Ryzen?
