New asus strix gtx 1080 and asus strix gtx 1060 with improved memories

ASUS is introducing two new graphics card models, ASUS Strix GTX 1080 & Strix GTX 1060, both with a memory boost that outperform previous models.
It seems that the GPUs of the GTX 1080 and GTX 1060 cannot raise the frequencies much more, so it is necessary to overclock on the other hand, in the GDDR5 memories. ASUS releases these two graphics card models with an overclock in effective memory speed.
ASUS STRIX GTX 1080 11Gbps OC
This specific model has 8GB GDDR5 memories with a frequency of 11, 000 MHz, exceeding the 10, 000 MHz effective memory speed that the reference GTX 1080 has.
ASUS STRIX GTX 1080 11Gbps OC has a DirectCU III triple turbine cooling system and requires dual expansion slot. It is not clear at what frequencies the GPU works, but they will surely be above those of the reference model. Its launch is expected in mid- April.
ASUS GTX 1060 OC 9Gbps
One of the best graphics cards in the mid-range also has its review by ASUS to increase its GDDR5 memory frequencies, in this case, the 6GB model that now reaches 9, 000 MHz, above the 8, 000 MHz model of reference.
The best graphics cards on the market
ASUS GTX 1060 OC 9Gbps features DirectCU II type dual-ventilation cooling and fairly robust dissipation with various heatpipes. ASUS also does not reveal frequencies of this card, which should be in stores in the next two weeks.
Apparently, the intention of this model with memory revs is to compete against the RX 580, which was launched on April 18.
