New matrox graphics cards
Matrox Graphics has announced the first two graphics cards in the Matrox C-Series series designed to achieve stability and multi-display functionalities, these are the Matrox C420 quad-output and the Matrox C680 six-output.
This new series is characterized by incorporating AMD GPUs instead of their own, offering compatibility with DirectX 11.2, OpenGL 4.4 and OpenCL 1.2 APIs under Windows 7, 8.1 and Linux systems.
Among the specifications of both cards we find 2GB of memory, mini DisplayPort connectivity and various functions aimed at industrial and business video surveillance, security and applications in embedded systems.
The C420 has a low profile design and passive cooling making it perfect for small, quiet systems. It has four outputs with a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.
The C680, on the other hand, has a slightly larger volume and it is possible to add up to 12 more monitors if we mount two of them in one team. It has 6 outputs at a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels.
