New asus pad
Barcelona, April 24, 2012.‐ Announced in February during the Mobile World Congress, the ASUS Transformer Pad is a tablet with great performance, a wide range of features and a very tight price. Following the tradition of ASUS tablets, the Transformer Pad offers the option of attaching it to a Docking keyboard that transforms it into a laptop with a QWERTY keyboard, multi-touch touchpad, a USB port, card reader and extends its autonomy up to 15 hours. The ASUS Transformer Pad includes a powerful NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 Quad-core processor, ASUS SonicMaster audio technology, a high-quality 8MP autofocus camera, and the Android ™ 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwitch) operating system upgradeable with exclusive productivity.
The Transformer Pad is available in dark blue, white, and red. In a clear nod to the design philosophy of the ZENBOOK ™ and the Transformer Pad Prime, this new model also incorporates the finish with a concentric pattern. With a 9.9mm profile and 635g weight, you can always carry the Transformer Pad with you and by adding the functions of the Docking keyboard, keep your productivity wherever you are.
At the performance level, the Transformer Pad mounts an NVIDIA's Tegra 3 4 ‐ PLUS ‐ 1 ™ quad ‐ core processor with an integrated GeForce® 12-core GPU that allows you to enjoy full HD 1080p video playback and quality gaming. The “PLUS ‐ 1” version of the processor includes a kernel that manages low-power activities such as sleep mode and music and video playback in a completely transparent way for OS and applications. In this way, this equipment offers the most advanced combination of consumption and performance, allowing it to reach 10 hours of autonomy and up to 15 hours when coupled to the Docking keyboard.
Regardless of its design, the Transformer Pad features SonicMaster technology. Created by the ASUS Golden Ear team, this technology features a combination of software and hardware advancements that dramatically enhance the audio experience.
The Transformer Pad incorporates an IPS screen with 178 ° viewing angle, a 1.2MP front camera for video conferencing and a rear one with: 8MP, autofocus, F / 2.2 aperture, 5-element lens, backlit CMOS sensor, touch focus, depth of field effect and noise reduction for poorly lit environments. Apart from taking some splendid photos, the rear camera also allows you to record FULL HD 1080p video.
The Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system offers an efficient multitasking environment, notifications, customizable screens, scalable widgets and great interactivity. The SuperNote application allows you to take notes, draw sketches and make audio recordings, and Polaris ™ Office is a complete productivity program that allows the creation and reading of Word, Excel and PowerPoint files (compatible with MS Office 97‐07). With 32GB of internal memory, a microSD slot and 8GB of free online storage, users can store and share their files whenever and wherever they want.
The custom accessories of the ASUS Transformer Pad enhance the user experience so that users enjoy the full potential of the device. The TranSleeve Dual case allows you to watch videos and write in an ergonomic way, while protecting the equipment against possible bumps and scratches. ASUS also offers micro HDMI / VGA and micro HDMI / HDMI cables, an external SD card reader, an external USB adapter, and a USB / Ethernet adapter, all designed to complement the functionality of the ASUS Transformer Pad.
