The specialist in cooling solutions GELID, has announced the launch of its new GELID Tornado heatsink, which seeks to offer a large cooling capacity, as well as a careful design and an attractive sale price.

New economic heatsink GELID Tornado

GELID Tornado is based on a total of four nickel-plated copper heatpipes, to achieve the best heat transfer, these are joined in a base, also made of copper, to guarantee maximum cooling efficiency. The union of the heatpipes and the base uses advanced welding, to guarantee maximum contact and the best capacity to transfer heat, a sample of all the care that the manufacturer has put in this product.

These nickel plated copper heatpipes are attached to a radiator formed by a multitude of aluminum fins, which have the function of offering the maximum heat exchange surface, with the air generated by the fan. The set is completed with a 120mm GELID PWM fan, and with the ability to adjust its spin speed, depending on the need for processor cooling. Its impeller is based on an optimized design, to move the maximum air flow with the least possible noise.

GELID claims that this heatsink can handle processors up to 160W without problems, making it compatible with all mainstream models, and even leaves room for overclocking. Mounting brackets included for AMD AM2, AM2 +, AM3, AM3 +, FM1, FM2, and Intel LGA 775, 1366, 1155, 1156, 1150, 1151 platforms.

It is also compatible with AM4, although the bracket is sold separately. GELID Tornado is priced at just 22 euros and a two-year warranty.
