New graphics driver for intel haswell and broadwell
Intel has released a new graphics driver for Haswell and Broadwell processors that brings a handful of improvements, new features, and increased performance.
The new driver fixes a number of errors in Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. Intel has improved VP9 video playback through partial hardware acceleration in Chrome and Hangouts, decoding has also been improved using HEVC with 8-bit and 10-bit support, plus added support for OpenGL and OpenCL.
Intel has also announced that Broadwell- based notebooks will see their battery life extended in 90 minutes during HD video playback and superior GPU performance, with a 20% improvement.
