The prestigious manufacturer QNAP has announced the launch of its new NAS model QNAP TS-977XU, it is a high-end unit that supports up to four 3.5-inch hard drives, and up to five 2.5-inch hard drives.

QNAP TS-977XU, a new NAS powered by AMD Ryzen

The QNAP QNAP TS-977XU is a nine-bay NAS for SATA drives. With Qtier Auto-Tiering support, SSD storage can be configured as an additional cache, which can significantly increase the overall speed of the NAS. The interior of the equipment hides a Ryzen 3 1200 or Ryzen 5 2600 processor with up to six cores and twelve threads. With its hybrid storage structure of classic 3.5-inch magnetic disk drives and advanced 2.5-inch SSDs, the NAS is designed to deliver flexible performance in a compact 1U frame.

The QNAP TS-977XU can boast SFP + 10GbE connectivity and PCIe extensibility. It can host a variety of virtual machines and containers, and therefore has great application potential in the professional field.
