Toshiba has announced the launch of its new Toshiba RC100 series hard drives, these make use of the NVMe protocol and the most advanced NAND memory technology to offer users the best features.

The new Toshiba RC100 drives demonstrate the company's leadership in the storage sector, as it was the first to bring NAND 3D memory technology to market, something that has been embraced by all manufacturers.

These new Toshiba RC100 have been designed to offer a performance far superior to that of SATA disks while maintaining a very tight manufacturing price, with this the Japanese intends to offer users the best balance between price and performance. To make them even more attractive, they come with a compact size of 42 mm x 22 mm, thanks to which you can install them on all types of devices, however small they may be.

As for the specifications, they have an advanced controller compatible with the NVMe protocol, this is in charge of managing the operation of its 96-layer 3D NAND memory. This new memory is built with Through Silicon Via technology and provides the highest storage density to date, enabling a new generation of small, high-capacity and more affordable SSDs.

The latter represents a very important step forward for establishing NVMe storage as a standard among all PC users, and not only in those with high-end equipment. More details on these new Toshiba RC100 are expected to be unveiled at CES 2018 next week.
