Its construction is based on the M.2-2242 form factor making it an extremely compact device with a length of only 42mm. This makes it compatible with all motherboards on the market that offer an M.2 slot.

Toshiba RC100 units combine an advanced controller together with 64-layer BiCS Flash TLC memory technology from the Japanese firm. The unit has a PCI-Express 3.0 x2 interface and takes advantage of the NVMe 1.2 protocol, thus being able to offer sequential transfer speeds of up to 1, 620 MB / s of reads and up to 1, 130 MB / s of writes. Added to this is 4K random access performance of up to 160, 000 IOPS in read and 120, 000 IOPS in write.
The disk is offered in 120GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities to fit the needs and possibilities of all users, backed by a 3 year warranty. Prices have not been announced.
