Nvidia: analysts expect great growth in video games in 2020

According to analysts at Piper Sandler and Gartner, their channel analyzes show that NVIDIA's new, next-generation graphics cards (slated to launch in March 2020) will drive revenue from the company's video game segment back to soar.

Gartner analysts expect NVIDIA's gaming segment revenue to increase more than 12% following the launch of next-generation graphics cards.

The lack of competition in the high-end GPU segment and the consequent apathy of NVIDIA is also no secret. Citibank analysts also commented that a recovery in the semiconductor market is expected throughout 2020 along with a strong pickup in demand.

Considering that NVIDIA is launching its state-of-the-art product line this year and that AMD hopes to dramatically increase its 7nm output, it's not surprising that analysts expect 2020 to be a year of revival for the semiconductor industry.
