At the Computex 2019 show in Taiwan, Nvidia presented a new certification for laptops that distinguishes devices with especially high performance graphically. Professional users, such as architects or designers, should be able to take a look at this RTX Studio certification to know that these notebooks will deliver the performance they are looking for. All certified devices have a GeForce RTX or Quadro RTX GPU with up to 16GB of graphics memory.

In addition to the built-in graphics card, laptops also need "Nvidia Studio Drivers" and long battery life, which Nvidia has not yet defined exactly, to obtain Studio Laptop certification. The Nvidia Studio driver is technically based on the Creator-Ready driver for Nvidia RTX chip desktop graphics cards, which has also been recently introduced.
Compared to the standard controller, Nvidia places special emphasis on stability, support for professional users, and optimization in software such as Autodesk Maya 2019, Autodesk 3ds Max 2020, Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve 16, and Daz3D Daz Studio rather than games. In the video you can see the performance advantages of using this controller in some of the most used applications for architects and professionals, including those streamers.
