10 new laptops join nrtia's rtx studio

Nvidia today announced 10 new RTX Studio laptops from Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Boxx at the SIGGRAPH 2019 computing conference. The company also highlighted seven new applications that take advantage of Nvidia RTX technology.
Nvidia's RTX Studio adds new certified laptops and apps
RTX Studio devices "meet the hardware and software requirements necessary to receive the new RTX Studio badge, " said Nvidia, "allowing creators to easily identify the right systems to power their creative workflows." In order to receive this badge, a specific product must combine the “GPU RTX with the stack of SDKs and drivers from NVIDIA Studio Stack” , in order to improve the performance of the most popular creative applications.
The 10 devices that Nvidia has announced today bring the number of RTX Studio laptops to 27.
The teams that join RTX Studio are the following:
- Lenovo Legion Y740 Laptop Studio Edition: RTX 2080 on 17- and 15-inch laptops, available in late fall. Lenovo ThinkPad P53 and P73: Up to Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000 GPUs on 17-inch and 15-inch systems. The ThinkPad P53 is out now. The ThinkPad P73 will be available starting in August. Dell Precision 7540 and Dell Precision 7740: Up to Quadro RTX 5000 GPUs. Now available. HP ZBook 15 and 17: Quadro RTX GPUs, with the 17-inch model configurable with up to a Quadro RTX 5000.BOXX GoBOXX SLM: Quadro RTX 3000 GPU on the 15-inch system and Quadro RTX 4000 or 3000 GPU on the 17-inch system.
Nvidia also announced new creative applications from ISVs that support RTX, these are; Adobe Substance Painter, Autodesk Flame, Blender Cycles, Dimension 5 D5 Fusion, Daz 3D Daz Studio, Foundry MODO, and Luxion KeyShot.

This brings to 40 the number of creative applications that advance RTX technology. Some use RTX to improve performance, others have enabled Ray Tracing in real time, and others are introducing new AI-based features.
The RTX Studio family is expected to continue to grow with new equipment and applications.
