NVIDIA: 55% of gamers use a GeForce GPU and 27% have an RTX card
The 4, 447 people answered a survey of 26 questions in October last year. This resulted in 143, 264 conclusions as it was mixed with demographics from the Wccftech website. 41% of consumers own an AMD processor. The result set shows that 55% of end users have an NVIDIA card. Of these, 61% have a pre-Turing model installed, and 27% have an RTX card. The remaining 12% use a GTX 16 series GPU.
Other unanswered questions were whether respondents planned to upgrade their graphics card and processor, which manufacturer they trusted the most for their custom card, or how much they were willing to spend on a product.
The more than 4, 000 people surveyed may not seem like enough to draw conclusions globally, but it is indicative. Among PC gamers, while NVIDIA does have some very powerful high-end graphics cards, we know that the bulk of sales occurs in the mid and low range. At this point, the RX 570's offering is hard to beat, however other NVIDIA products like the recent GTX 1660 Ti or RTX 2060 round out great deals for those who want a bit more performance.
