Nvidia will manufacture Tu106-410 and Tu104 chips

For those who didn't know, NVIDIA divided the Turing matrices that power the RTX 2060, RTX 2070, and RTX 2080 graphics cards into two classes: the A variants and the non-A variants. These two classes differ in performance.
NVIDIA will manufacture more powerful TU106-410 and TU104-410 chips for RTX 2070 and RTX 2080
The 'no A' chips tend to be of lower quality as they have disabled cores and generally have somewhat lower clocks as well. An example of this is the TU106-400-A1 chip which is a non-A variant. On the other hand, the matrices that are of an exceptionally good quality and with a higher clock are the A variants, such as the TU106-400A-A1. This variant is typically used on graphics cards that come with factory overclocking.

The good news is that NVIDIA stopped manufacturing the non-A variant starting in May, according to sources. This is great news for gamers because it means that after May, the only Turing graphics cards that they will be able to buy will be the more powerful A variants. These new chips will be called TU104-410 and TU106-410 plain.
Factory overclocking is going to be standard on both cards, so RTX 2060, 2070, and 2080 graphics cards are expected to be cheaper in late May. Currently nothing is known about the 2080 Ti. This also means that future buyers of a Turing graphics card have to be vigilant about the exact model they are buying. Stay away from the TU104-400 and TU106-400 matrices and go for the TU104-400A and TU106-400A or TU104-410 or TU104-410 matrices, those are the ones that offer and will offer the best performance.
