Nvidia GeForce 10 Mobile will arrive in August to compete with Polaris
The Nvidia GeForce 10 Mobile series is known with the code name N17x and will continue to use the usual nomenclature with the "M" at the end as it has been doing for years. The GeForce 10 Mobile should not come with the same specifications as the desktop models due to the obvious limitations in terms of power and cooling capacity. The GeForce GTX 1080 would be based on a GPU with a maximum of 2048 CUDA Cores, probably the GP106.
The Benchlife medium has been able to confirm through two Nvidia partners that the Nvidia GeForce 10 Mobile will arrive in August, Nvidia may want to see first what is the actual performance of AMD's Polaris-based cards, the Rx 400M.
