NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1650 may receive a 'silent' update from manufacturer partners (AIB) if the latest EEC listings are true. The GeForce GTX 1650 was released in 2019 and its SUPER variant was released later that year. The SUPER model is undoubtedly a much better card with a price close to that of the GTX 1650 itself, which makes the latter somewhat obsolete, but it seems that manufacturers have other plans for this graphics card.

NVIDIA GTX 1650 would have a GDDR6 memory that would replace GDDR5 memory

According to the EEC list that has been discovered by Videocardz , there is a complete list of cards that use the custom design of the GeForce GTX 1650. The brand in particular is MSI and there are at least 8 custom variants on the list that feature the updated design:

  • MSI GTX 1650 D6 GAMING XD6 GAMINGD6 VENTUS XS OCD6 VENTUS XSD6 AERO ITX OCD6 AERO ITXD6T LP OCD6T LP

The first impression would be that it is a second and less interesting variant of the SUPER, but it would not be the case here. The real upgrade would be the memory and in the case of the upgraded variant, the NVIDIA GTX 1650 would feature a GDDR6 memory that would replace the GDDR5 memory in the existing G5 variants. For comparison only, the GDDR5 variants feature 8Gbps speeds for a total bandwidth of 128GB / s, while the GTX 1650 SUPER features 12Gbps speeds for a total bandwidth of 192GB / s.. Using GDDR6 memory would provide a nice performance boost that could help bridge the gap with Radeon RX 5500 XT 4GB graphics cards.
