Nvidia launches the new shield tv with a renewed design

NVIDIA launches the new generation of SHIELD TV, which is presented as the heart of entertainment in the living room, thanks to its entertainment functions, video games and AI capabilities. The firm leaves us with two models, SHIELD TV and SHIELD TV Pro, which provide an exceptional audiovisual experience. Offering 25 percent more performance than its predecessor, its new Tegra X1 + processor allows you to take advantage of Dolby Vision to generate spectacular images and Dolby Atmos to reproduce extraordinary sound. Its computational power dramatically increases image quality by applying artificial intelligence to convert HD quality broadcast videos to 4K resolution content.

New version

SHIELD TV comes with a reduced and discreet design, designed to go unnoticed and merge with the other devices in the room. It also incorporates a Gigabit Ethernet input and dual band Wi-Fi to ensure a lightning fast connection. SHIELD TV Pro pushes entertainment to a new level for the most demanding users. It is based on the iconic design of its previous generation and comes with additional memory and storage, plus two USB ports to enjoy the Plex Media Server and connect large capacity hard drives as well as other USB devices.

Both arrive in a bundle that includes a new remote control, powered by AAA batteries, which incorporates buttons with backlighting activated by movement, a locator for the integrated control and a microphone for voice searches.

SHIELD, as an Android TV ™ device, allows access to more than 500, 000 movies and series through more than 5, 000 applications and games available on Google Play. The Google Assistant enables users to quickly access content, control smart objects and get on-screen responses through their voice. SHIELD now supports "routines" —through a single command, the Google Assistant will complete multiple actions.

Spectacular sound and video

Dolby Vision transforms entertainment experiences with ultra-vivid images — with incredible brightness, contrast, color and level of detail that enhance movies with refined and realistic images. It can reproduce colors never seen before, with high contrast, highlights that are 40 times brighter, and blacks that are 10 times darker.

Dolby Atmos represents a step forward for surround sound , transporting listeners to an extraordinary experience with mobile sound flowing around them. Viewers will feel inside the action as the sounds of people, places, things and music come alive with breathtaking realism.

AI at home

SHIELD benefits from NVIDIA's leadership in the field of artificial intelligence by offering features not available on competing devices. In addition to integrating connectivity with Google Assistant and Amazon Echo, the new players have an AI scaler at their disposal to bring HD content to life. Trained in a deep neural network, the climber allows SHIELD users to enjoy content broadcast in 720p and 1080p in stunning 4K.

Amazing games

SHIELD brings together the largest variety of gaming content in an on-demand content player offering video games from the cloud, local broadcasting and advanced games that run natively. Gamers can enjoy hundreds of compatible games through the GeForce NOW ™ beta, including many current releases and free games as popular as Fortnite .

SHIELD TV and SHIELD TV Pro are already available in Spain. The cheapest version starts from € 159.99 and includes the new remote control.
