Nvidia's Titan series has always been classified as a series of graphics cards halfway between the professional and home sectors, since they include specifications that go somewhat beyond the GeForce but lack certified drivers for the professional environment. The last representative is the Titan Xp who receives a dose of vitamins before the arrival of AMD Vega.

New drivers to defend Vega's GeForce GTX Titan XP

With the launch of the new AMD Radeon RX Vega graphics cards, the GeForce GTX Titan Xp has received new drivers with major updates that promise to deliver three times better performance in applications like Maya. This move is undoubtedly due to the arrival of the Vega architecture and shows that until now Nvidia has not been offering users the full potential that their Titan cards are capable of throwing.

The driver in question is Geforce 385.12 Beta and has been designed exclusively for the Titan Xp despite the fact that it can be installed on systems with other cards, but without any benefit, so it is not recommended to do so. In fact there is no release note for this new driver so it is to be expected that even other cards in the Titan series will not make any profit.

What this new driver does is activate some of the Quadro family features on the Titan XP, thereby improving the performance of the card in applications related to the professional sector.
