GameWorks is a proprietary technology from Nvidia that aims to allow video game developers to introduce highly advanced graphic effects in a simple way and with little effort. Now upgrade to a new version to improve your chances with DirectX 12
GameWorks improves your chances with DX12
Nvidia flow is the new technology implementation under the Microsoft DirectX 12 API to improve the realism of fuel fluids and smoke and fire implementations thanks to Nvidia Turbulence and FlameWorks technologies.
This new implementation of GameWorks has been optimized to make use of the Tiled Resources feature of DirectX 12 that allows greater efficiency in the management of some resources such as graphic memory. Unreal Engine 4 is one of the first engines to implement it, so very soon we will see new games with spectacular graphic effects.
The following video shows the excellent GameWorks implementation in DirectX 12 for much more realistic effects on combustion and generated smoke. Hopefully GameWorks behaves better this time than in the past, we still have in memory all the problems that this technology has brought in games like Gears of War 4.
