Nvidia is not afraid of the radeon vii and ensures that the rtx 2080 will crush it

- Nvidia recognizes that RTXs are too expensive and that for now, there will be no Shield
This is what Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said about the impending departure of the new AMD Radeon VII. Nvidia is not afraid of the new 7nm chip and says that the return to AMD graphics is "Unsatisfactory".
Nvidia is confident that AMD will not be competition
During the press conference that CEO Jensen Huang, the people of PCWorld asked him several questions, among which was, what did Nvidia think about the new Radeon VII. The CEO directly said that "it is disappointing" and that his Nvidia RTX 2080 will simply give it a quick look at Ray Tracing and activating DLSS.
We must remember that this new AMD graphics card, which is also still in the creation phase, has a 7nm architecture with 60 graphics cores, 16GB of HBM2 memory and no less than 1TB of bandwidth. But Huang is not scared of this new card at all and says there is no Ray Tracing and no AI, so the RTX 2080 will simply "crush it."
Of course AMD CEO Lisa Su gave a very different answer and assured that they are very excited about this new Radeon VII and that Nvidia has not seen it yet. In addition, from the brand they give data that it exceeds 25% in performance to the RX Vega technology and is located just on par with the RTX 2080. Although it is true that the initial results place it on par with the RTX 2080, Nvidia downplays it and trusts that its creation will maintain supremacy. As always, you will have to wait to see the real results when it is launched on the market.
Harsh criticism of AMD FreeSync too
Another aspect that was discussed at this press conference was about the announcement by Nvidia to make G-Sync compatible with VESA adaptive Sync monitors. The CEO makes it clear that "they have never been competing with AMD in this regard since FreeSync has never worked."
And we will all say, if it doesn't work, how come the vast majority of monitors implement this technology instead of G-Sync? Furthermore, they have decided to combine both solutions for a reason. They know very well that in this area the competition is beyond them and they need to extend the adaptive G-Sync technology to close the loop with their graphics cards, which we see as correct. What is not logical is to say that FreeSync has never worked, because the results say just the opposite.
In our opinion, FreeSync has been extended for a simple reason, and it is cost. Nvidia is more expensive than AMD in all aspects and we are all a bit tired of abusive prices. If once and for all you got real competition on your graphics chips, things would change a lot.
Nvidia recognizes that RTXs are too expensive and that for now, there will be no Shield
Finally, the topic of general discontent by the community about the high prices with which this new range of Turing architecture has emerged was raised. The CEO acknowledges that the price increases have been considerable, and that they were not yet ready for such an early launch of the RTX range.
Now he assures that with this RTX 2060, yes they are ready, since it is twice as powerful as a PS4 and "only" costs $ 350. In our opinion we think that it is indeed the card with the best quality / price ratio of the four, but we are talking about almost 400 euros, it is not cheap, come on. And it is also a mid-range, there are a few cards well above this.
Regarding the question of, if there will be any new Shield gaming device, he directly answered that not for now, that there will only be one when the community needs it. Those of Nvidia claim to be focused on PC hardware because it will always be the best gaming platform.
