The two new validated monitors are the ASUS VG278QR and VG258, both of which are FullHD displays that offer refresh rates of up to 165Hz and 144Hz respectively.

Nvidia has also confirmed that Surround compatibility is now possible with G-Sync compatible monitors, something that was not possible with older drivers. Unfortunately, this support is restricted to Turing graphics cards, and all displays must be connected to the user's primary graphics card (in SLI configurations) via DisplayPort. In addition, all three monitors must be identical, of the same make and model. The resolution of these displays should also be set as a resolution of 5780 × 1080 for a 3x1080p setting.

Speaking of Nvidia's G-Sync compatibility certification program, the company confirmed that all G-Sync compatible displays should offer a variable refresh rate range of 2.4: 1 and should not have any graphical glitches during VRR games workloads.

At this time it is unknown why G-Sync Compatible Surround does not work on Nvidia Pascal series graphics cards. The Nvidia driver release notes indicate that it only works on Turing series GPUs.
