Nvidia could launch the geforce gtx 980ti after the summer
For months now, the possibility of Nvidia launching a graphics card based on the GM200 chip, with a more contained price than the Titan X, has been discussed. This new graphics card could arrive after the summer.
We are talking about the Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti that would arrive with the GM200 chip fully unlocked with its 3072 operating CUDA Cores. The difference would be in its 6 GB of GDDR5 VRAM compared to the 12 GB that the TITAN X mounts and in higher operating frequencies so its performance in video games would be superior to the TITAN X.
The GeForce GTX 980Ti would be the company's latest high-end card based on the Maxwell architecture, so we would have to wait for Pascal's arrival to see new solutions from the brand. Recall that Pascal is rumored to arrive accompanied by second-generation HBM memory providing a huge leap in bandwidth before Maxwell.
