NVIDIA has shared with us a slide in which they present the performance of the next Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 in 10 games, at 4K resolution with 60Hz refresh rate and using HDR. Let's see them, because the results promise.

NVIDIA RTX 2080 exceeds 60fps in 10 games at 4K HDR

The 10 games they have tried have been the following: Final Fantasy XV, Hitman, Call of Duty WWII, Mass Effect Andromeda, Star Wars Battlefront II, Resident Evil 7, F1 2017, Destiny 2, Battlefield 1 and Far Cry 5. That is We are not talking about just any games, but rather great titles with certain performance level demands.

PERFORMANCE RTX 2080 @ 4K 60Hz HDR
Final Fantasy XV 60 FPS
Hitman 73 FPS
Call of Duty WWII 93 FPS
Mass Effect Andromeda 67 FPS
Star Wars Battlefront II 65 FPS
Resident Evil 7 66 FPS
F1 2017 72 FPS
Destiny 2 66 FPS
Battlefield 1 84 FPS
Far Cry 71 FPS

The official data provided by NVIDIA, waiting to be confirmed in third-party benchmarks, are really remarkable since they would indicate that we would finally be facing a generation capable of playing 4K 60 fps.

However, what does not appear is if these results have been measured in ultra, and we do not have more details than those that have appeared on the slide, so in this regard there is only speculation. Let us hope, in any case, that they have been measured at the highest level of detail.

NVIDIA has made it clear that these results are in stock as they indicate that it is out of the box performance, there is no overclocking or ruse of any kind behind it. What is not indicated is whether these games use the so-called DLSS that we talked about in the previous news, although some of the games shown did not appear using the technology that makes use of Tensor Cores to improve performance. Are we looking forward to the first samples of these new Nvidia Turing? What do you think of these results? Did you expect more or less performance? We want to know what you think!
