With the launch of the Nvidia RTX 2060 and 2070 SUPER graphics cards, we have seen a noticeable improvement in the base versions of the 20XX range. However, the RTX 2080 SUPER still remains to be seen.

RTX 2080 SUPER will have a 15.5 Gbps VRAM memory

Based on name alone, it would be safe to assume that this represented the most powerful card in the range, but it seems, however, that we can expect something particularly special from it. In a report via TechPowerUp, the graphics card will feature the fastest memory speed (VRAM) currently available on the market.

The 'original' Nvidia RTX 2080 graphics card features a VRAM memory speed of 14 Gbps in current versions. However, the Super variant will experience an increase of approximately 10% to 15.5 Gbps. A speed that would represent the fastest currently available at the consumer level for any graphics card.

It is also suggested that the design of the "TU104" chipset has also been pushed to the limit. This essentially means that the 3, 072 CUDA cores present will be used. This compared to the 2, 944 used in the original RTX 2080.

The fact that Nvidia RTX 2080 SUPER is faster than its original model was logical, but not easy. It seems, however, that Nvidia has really pushed the chip and VRAM memory to the limit to launch this product.

This new graphics card will go on sale on July 23.
