We have already talked in the past about Nvidia Max-Q technology aimed at developing thinner and more compact notebooks, and in this sense, the company has now also introduced the Nvidia Whispermode, a mode that will allow silent operation on all notebooks. with GTX graphics.

If you don't like your device making noises while you are playing games or while working with a rendering app, then the new Nvidia mode definitely interests you.

NVIDIA WhisperMode will silence your laptop with GTX graphics, but it has a trick

For many years, most laptops had inferior graphics cards, but in recent years we have seen a drastic change in the market. Now, most of the graphics cards that come with laptops provide a performance very close to the GPUs seen in PCs. Also, if you are not looking for a laptop that is too thin, then you could even go for GPUs with the same performance as on a PC.

As for the software, we have the new Nvidia Whisper mode that dramatically reduces the noise produced by the cooling system depending on the game you are playing.

However, the new mode also has its own limitations, as eSports games like Overwatch will have to run at a top speed of 60 frames per second, while other AAA titles will need to be limited to 40 FPS. This is something that not all users will love, since eSports games are not usually enjoyed at 60 FPS unless there is a problem with the device, and it is generally recommended to have them at more than 100 FPS to enjoy them to the fullest.

Also, modern eSports gamers often stream their games at over 144 FPS, and probably very few will want to drop the frames just to cut down on laptop noise. Whether or not users will make use of this new feature by NVIDIA remains to be seen.
