Oppo f19 would come with a lossless 10x zoom

OPPO's obsession with lossless zoom is not really new. Back at MWC 2017, OPPO unveiled its predecessor, a 5x optical zoom camera system. Lossless zoom has been a holy grail for smartphone cameras due to the number of lenses required to reach that level of zoom. That is the reason why real cameras have lenses that extrude at a great distance from the body. OPPO's solution is almost ingenious.

Rather than sticking out outside, the smartphone maker placed the lenses inside the phone and placed them in a periscope shape. But in addition to that design, it could still compress the entire camera module into a slim 5.7mm phone. According to a series of sketches, the OPPO F19 will sport the next step, with a lossless 10x zoom. Those same sketches also point to a front camera that's built into the screen.

It is not yet known when the OPPO F19 will arrive, but it is expected to have a 6.3-inch screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 or MediaTek Helio P90 processor and the company's VOOC load.
