The Ozone Strike Battle line of keyboards has been one of the most popular among users for offering products with exceptional quality and at very competitive prices. Now comes the renewal of the series with the Ozone Strike Battle Spectra model to maintain all the benefits of the original models such as the acclaimed Cherry MX switches and add an RGB LED lighting system. If you want to know more details do not miss our complete analysis in Spanish.

First of all, we thank Ozone for the trust they placed in giving us the Strike Battle Spectra for their analysis.

Ozone Strike Battle Spectra: features

Ozone Strike Battle Spectra: unboxing and analysis

The Ozone Strike Battle Spectra comes in a fairly small cardboard box, something that already indicates that we are dealing with a very compact product. The box presents the usual design of the brand's products with a predominance of its corporate colors, black and red.

On the front we see the brand's logo next to the product name, a great image of the keyboard and its main characteristics, among which its Cherry MX Red switches, an RGB LED lighting system, the ability to manage up to 30 macros and its Ten Keyless design that makes it very compact and perfect for users who have to travel with it. Reference is also made to the keyboard layout, in our case they sent us a unit with a Spanish distribution, we especially thank Ozone for sending us exactly the same product that we can find in the Spanish market.

On the sides and the back, the most important characteristics of the keyboard continue to be highlighted, such as its anti-ghosting system, its 6 macro keys, lighting configuration keys, gaming mode, multimedia keys, lighting profiles and a key to reset its configuration.

We open the box and we find another box inside for greater keyboard protection. This second box has a very clean design in black in which we only see the brand's logo on the top. We open the box and finally we see the keyboard very well protected by a bag to avoid any possible damage until it reaches the user's hands. We take out the keyboard and see some accessories such as a user guide, a sticker and some non-slip rubber feet.

It is time to focus our eyes on the keyboard, the Ozone Strike Battle Spectra is a very compact unit with dimensions of 351 mm x 123 mm x 34.5 mm and a weight of only 685 grams. With these features it is a keyboard lighter even than some membrane units, it is noted that it has been designed to be easily transported. The negative aspect of such a compact and light design is that the numeric keyboard has been dispensed with, something that those who make very intensive use of it will not like, although it is a keyboard aimed at gamers so it will not be a problem.

The keyboard is based on the previous Ozone Strike Battle and adds a highly customizable RGB LED lighting system, with this you can give your keyboard a great customization and adapt it better to your tastes. This is the main difference from the previous model that only had red lighting. The keyboard continues to have the same minimalist design but which demonstrates quality in all its parts, its body consists of a piece of high-quality aluminum with a cold touch sensation, so there is no doubt that it is metal. On this aluminum body are placed its mechanical switches and keys.

It is time to talk about the switches and it is that despite being an economic product, Ozone has not been foolish and has placed the best technology that we can find in mechanical keyboards, the acclaimed Cherry MX that have proven to be the absolute reference in quality. In this case we find the Cherry MX Red which are off-road switches for both games and writing. These switches have a maximum linear travel of 4mm and 2mm for their activation point. Their activation force is 45 g of pressure so they are very soft and pleasant to the touch. The durability of these Cherry MXs is beyond question with their 50 million keystroke lifespan.

In the back we find two folding plastic legs that allow us to slightly lift the keyboard for greater comfort of use if the user considers it appropriate.

Finally we see the gold plated USB connector for better contact and protect it from wear.

Ozone software

The Ozone Strike Battle Spectra keyboard can be used perfectly without the need to install any software, although it is highly recommended to use the application to get the most out of it. To download the software, all you have to do is go to the official website of the manufacturer and look in the download section. Once downloaded, its installation is extremely simple since we only need to click next until reaching the end.

Once the software is installed, we open it and see that the application remains in the background and is accessible from the Ozone icon in the system tray. Once we open the application we see a control panel that is divided into three sections: Layout customization, lighting management and a powerful macro manager. The only negative point is that the application is not translated into Spanish so we will have to have a minimum knowledge of the Shakespeare language.

First of all we have the layout configuration section, from here we can add different functions to the keys such as keyboard actions, launch applications, multimedia functions, shortcuts and assign macros.

Next we have the section of lighting management, remember that it is an RGB system so we can configure it in 16.8 million colors and we also have different light modes such as static, wave, breathing, wave and the custom mode that we allows to assign to each key the color that we want.

Finally we find the third section that is a powerful macro manager.

Final words and conclusion

Many of us are users who spend much of the day in front of a computer, whether for work, leisure or study. The most important peripherals, mouse and keyboard, are often the most neglected by regular computer users, many times spending a lot of money on a tower and skimping on something to be used every time you interact in any way with the team.

The Ozone Strike Battle Spectra is a mechanical keyboard that offers us a high-performance solution and the best quality along with a very compact design that makes it very manageable and portable. It is a keyboard aimed at players who want to travel to events or their friends' houses and want to take their keyboard with them. If your user profile meets these points, this is the best keyboard for you.

We found high quality switches with excellent performance, in fact they are the best and have proven themselves for decades, we also highlight 1000Hz ultrapolling and anti-ghosting technologies for flawless operation. We have used the keyboard in our usual work environment (office automation, graphic design and video) and the result has been excellent in all cases.

Currently, there is a lot of competition between mechanical keyboards to play . But without a doubt the Ozone Strike Battle Spectra is one of the best on the market, it is already on sale on the official Ozone website for a price of 109.90 euros
