We continue our collaboration with the Spanish manufacturer Ozone, this time we have in our hands the Ozone Strike Pro Spectra keyboard that intends to be renewed while maintaining all the benefits of the original models such as the acclaimed Cherry MX switches and adding an RGB LED lighting system. The Ozone Strike Battle Spectra comes in a fairly large cardboard box, which is logical since this time it is a full-format keyboard. The box presents the usual design of the brand's products with a predominance of its corporate colors, black and red.

On the front we see the brand's logo next to the product name, a great image of the keyboard and its main characteristics, among which are its unsurpassed Cherry MX switches, an advanced and powerful RGB LED lighting system, the ability to manage up to 30 macros and its complete design so you don't miss a thing. Reference is also made to the keyboard layout, in our case they sent us a unit with a Spanish distribution, we especially thank Ozone for sending us exactly the same product that we can find in the Spanish market.

On the sides and the back, the most important characteristics of the keyboard continue to be highlighted, such as its anti-ghosting system, its 6 macro keys, lighting configuration keys, gaming mode, multimedia keys, lighting profiles and a reset key. Of configuration.

When opening the box we see another box inside for greater protection of the keyboard, something that we are already accustomed to by the hand of this manufacturer and that demonstrates the care it puts in its products. We open the second box and finally we see the keyboard very well protected by a bag to avoid any possible damage until it reaches the user's hands. We take out the keyboard and see some accessories such as a user guide, a sticker and some non-slip rubber feet.

Finally we see in the foreground the Ozone Strike Pro Spectra, it is a unit with dimensions of 441 mm x 135.7 mm x 34.3 mm and a weight of 1300 grams. It is a fairly compact keyboard to be fully designed, something that has been possible by minimizing the side frames as much as possible. We highlight the inclusion of a wrist rest, this is part of the body so it is impossible to remove it although its size is discreet.

The keyboard is based on the previous Ozone Strike Pro and adds a highly customizable RGB LED lighting system, with this you can give your keyboard a great customization and adapt it better to your tastes. This is the main difference from the previous model that only had red lighting. The keyboard continues to have a minimalist design but that demonstrates quality in all its parts with a body that combines the use of aluminum with plastic.

In the back of the Ozone Strike Pro Spectra we find a USB 2.0 port and 3.5 mm jack connectors for audio and microphone, this comes great to connect our peripherals in a very comfortable way if the tower is not very accessible. At the other end we see the logo of the brand.

The soul of every mechanical keyboard is its switches, Ozone has not been foolish and has placed the best technology that we can find in mechanical keyboards, the acclaimed Cherry MX that have proven to be the absolute reference in quality. Specifically we have the version with Cherry MX Red that are off-road switches for both games and writing. These switches have a maximum linear travel of 4mm and 2mm for their activation point. Their activation force is 45 g of pressure so they are very soft and pleasant to the touch. The durability of these Cherry MXs is beyond question with their 50 million keystroke lifespan.

In the back we find two folding plastic legs that allow us to slightly lift the keyboard for greater comfort of use if the user considers it appropriate.

Finally we see the two USB connectors and the two 3.5 mm jacks, all gold plated for better contact and to avoid corrosion.

The Ozone Strike Pro Spectra keyboard can be used perfectly without installing any software, although it is highly recommended to use the application to get the most out of it. To download the software, all you have to do is go to the official website of the manufacturer and look in the download section. Once downloaded, its installation is extremely simple since we only need to click next until reaching the end.

Once the software is installed, we open it and see that the application remains in the background and is accessible from the Ozone icon in the system tray. Once we open the application we see a control panel that is divided into three sections: Layout customization, lighting management and a powerful macro manager.

First we have the configuration section of the layout, from here we can add different functions to the keys such as keyboard actions, launch applications, multimedia functions, shortcuts and assign macros. Next we have the section of lighting management, remember that it is an RGB system so we can configure it in 16.8 million colors and we also have different light modes such as static, wave, breathing, wave and the custom mode that we allows to assign to each key the color that we want. Finally we find the third section that is a powerful macro manager.

The keyboard maintains a design similar to that of its predecessor, the manufacturer has included a USB port and 3.5 mm jack connectors for audio and micro, making it more comfortable to use our peripherals. We have used the keyboard in our usual work environment (office automation, graphic design and video) and the result has been excellent in all cases.
