Pc workstation (2014)

This time I had to quickly assemble a Workstation equipment. I have recycled some materials and there is a very powerful team, I detail it below:

  • Corsair Graphite 230TP Box i7-4820k processor with 4, 500mhz overclocking with offset (1.25v).ASUS P9X79 PRO.16GB DDR3 G.Skills Trident X at 2400mhz (Quad Channel).Gigabyte GTX 760 4GB. Raijintek Themis EVO heatsink.2 Noctua Redux 120mm Fans. Fractal Newton R600 80 Plus Platinum Power Supply. 250GB Samsung EVO SD. Western Digital Hard Drive Black 1TB + 2TB Seagatea Barracuda 7200.1 + 2TB Western Digital Green.

Although the box is going very well, it is not what I would use for a 100% work team. I did not like its scant possibilities to hide the wiring, it is not possible to install a Corsair H100i style liquid cooling. However, for the price it has, it incorporates a good anchoring system for hard drives, it is compatible with long graphics cards and it allows mounting high-performance heatsinks.

As you can see, the team is designed to work and enjoy it: Graphic design, virtualization, games and rendering. Although the i7-4820K has 4 cores, the overclocking that I have done to it helps a lot: 4500 mhz with offset. As you can see it does not happen with stress programs at 61ºC, while playing barely reaches 50ºC.

What do you think?
