Assassins Creed Origins is one of the most anticipated video games, not only for the continuation of one of the most important Ubisoft sagas, but also for the step forward at the graphic level that this video game represents in the franchise.

The new Assassins Creed is now available and we can see how it behaves in its PC version. Will it be a good port this time or is this another Unity case? Let's see it.

Assassins Creed Origins Performance

This test was carried out by the people of wccftech using the AMD Ryzen 7 1700 processor running at 3.9GHz, the MSI X370 XPower Gaming Titanium motherboard and 16GB of DDR4 RAM as a base.

These graphics cards were used in the comparison: NVIDIA GTX 1080 FE, NVIDIA GTX 1070 FE, NVIDIA GTX 1060 FE 6GB, XLR8 GTX 1060 3GB, AMD RX Vega 64 LC, XFX RX 480, Sapphire RX 570 Nitro + and Sapphire RX 460 Nitro.

Assassins Creed Origins were set to Very High (not Ultra) quality, average results can be seen and minimum fps added to show the full experience with each.

1080p

In the results we see that a GTX 1060 or an RX VEGA 64 can offer the coveted 60 fps at this resolution, but they cannot hold them all the time, where they drop to 40 fps.

The GTX 1080 is the only card that can stay above 60fps all the time, getting 83fps on average. The modest RX 460 is not optimal to play this game with this quality.

1440p

When we increase the resolution, no card manages to keep 60 fps stable, the GTX 1080 suffers drops down to 51 fps, with 'micro-drops' up to 42 fps. With an RX 570 the experience is poor.

4K

In this resolution we see that none is even close to 60 fps and it is best to set the game at 30 fps. The surprising thing is that in this resolution the RX VEGA 64 performs just like a GTX 1080.

Assassins Creed Origins is a demanding game if you want to enjoy it in high quality but 60 fps is possible with a GTX 1060 or VEGA 64 at 1080p resolution, always playing with some options in the graphic quality of the game.
