Ark Survival Evolved is a sandbox that is a winning combination with the mixture of an open world and dinosaurs. Such has been its success that its creators Studio Wildcard have entered into a licensing agreement with Snail Games to create PixARK, a Minecraft-inspired and more kid-friendly spin-off.

This will be PixARK

This Ark: Survival Evolved spin-off will be called PixARK and will be released to Steam and the Microsoft Xbox Games Preview show as Early Access in March. The game will feature a Minecraft-like Voxel build system, spawned quests, an in-depth character creator, and over 100 voxelized Ark dinosaurs that are docile and trainable. Your PixARK adventure will be completely unique thanks to a robust character creator, an infinite number of voxel-based maps, and procedurally generated missions.

Welcome to PixARK, a vast and wild world full of vicious dinosaurs, magical creatures, and an endless adventure. To survive in this mysterious land, you must tame fierce and cute creatures, create magical and high-tech tools, and build your own base with cubes.

PixARK is currently listed on Steam with system requirements similar to Ark: Survival Evolved, though it has fewer system memory and storage requirements. These requirements are expected to change as game development progresses.
