PlanetSide will have a new entry in early 2018 as announced by Daybreak Games. Following the main line of massive player numbers on individual servers, PlanetSide Arena will bring together 500 players in various modes, including a Battle Royale.
PlanetSide Arena will offer a 250 vs 250 Battle Royale mode
At launch, the title will include Massive Clash, a 250v250 Battle Royale mode, as well as solo and group battle modes. This player limit could increase to over 1, 000 totals according to the study. It also plans to add traditional competitive modes later. Classes also make a return, with Assault, Engineer, and Medical options available to all players before moving on to a round. All of these classes come with their own jetpacks, a vehicle, and abilities to aid them in battle, which can also be upgraded during a game.

For PlanetSide 2 players, Daybreak was quick to say that they remain fully committed to providing active development support for PlanetSide 2, taking note of the new continent coming for next year. PlanetSide Arena will launch on January 29, 2019 as a Steam exclusive with no early access period. There are two pre-purchase packages right now, priced at € 16.58 and € 33.37 each, with various bonuses and access to an upcoming closed beta.
Daybreak added that loyal and active PlanetSide 2 players will also get access to the bet a version without purchasing anything. Good news, although on the other hand they do pre-buy the game to new players to access a beta is at least somewhat questionable within the industry. What do you expect from this new PlanetSide Arena?
