Playerunknown's battlegrounds hits record 3.1 million online players
The popular video game PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds has broken a new record on Steam. The game that promoted the genre 'Battle Royale' reached an incredible 3.1 million online users playing at the same time.
The maximum peak of 3, 106, 358 players was achieved yesterday and only takes into account the number of Steam players, those of XBOX are counted separately, so it would not be surprising that yesterday there were more than 4 million players between Steam and XBOX.
The rest of the best games on Steam, or the most played, are always the same. This includes DOTA 2 and Counter-Strike: GO. However, even combining these two games, they do not reach the number of players who play PUBG, which is really impressive considering that this game is relatively recent, it was released in March of this year.
Two days ago, the game banned over 1.5 million players, but that didn't stop it from hitting this online player record. A clear example of the great popularity of this action and survival title, which was not recent in the face of a massive wave of banning.
At the time of this writing, PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds (PUBG) has sold over 26 million copies on Steam alone and continues to add. The XBOX release has also been a success, hitting a million copies in record time.
