The new Plextor M7V solid state drives (SSDs) have been announced, targeting the entry level and seeking to offer sensational performance while maintaining very competitive prices compared to rivals in the market.
Plextor M7V, high performance in the input range
The Plextor M7Vs will arrive in SATA III and M.2 formats with storage capacities of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. All of them are based on the Marvell 88SS1074B1 controller and Toshiba NLC TLC memory technology manufactured at 15nm together with a DRAN DDR3 cache that amounts to 256 MB, 512 MB and 768 MB respectively. With these specifications they are able to achieve a sequential read and write speed of up to 530 MB / s to offer very high performance.
The Plextor M7Vs also offer high reliability and a lifetime that is measured at 80 TB, 160 TB and 320 TB TBW respectively. Unfortunately prices have not been announced.
