Xiaomi promises good software support for Pocophone F1
The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 has made its mark on the mid-range smartphone segment by offering flagship-level hardware for less than half the price. Xiaomi is also usually very friendly to the developer community. Today new information about the smartphone has appeared, since we have been told that it will be updated to at least Android Q.

Updates to Android Pie and Android Q are assured
Jai Mani, product manager of Xiaomi's Pocophone Global sub-brand assured that the company is committed to updating the Pocophone F1 with at least two important updates to the Android version. The smartphone currently has Android 8.1 Oreo but Xiaomi says that "at least" will receive an update for both Android Pie and Android Q.
Xiaomi phones that have been released many years ago continue to receive new updates. These MIUI (the proprietary interface) updates for older phones don't come with new Android versions, however many of them manage to get new features thanks to the company's custom interface.
In the case of the Pocophone F1, this is a relatively new Xiaomi sub-brand, so many people were wondering how they were going to deal with device updates. Xiaomi seems to be committed to giving good software support to this phone, which has been receiving a lot of praise since it was launched on the market.
At the moment, we don't know when these updates will be available.
