Table of contents:
Pokémon GO is a game that expels users to cheat. This is something we already know, since Niantic is usually very strict in this regard. Pokémon GO is kicking out users with Xiaomi phones
At the moment the reason why it happens is unknown, but many users have taken forums like Reddit to complain that they have been expelled from the game.
Banned for no reason
It is speculated that the anti-cheat tool in Pokémon GO has detected something out of the ordinary on Xiaomi phones, incorrectly. As a consequence of this error, users who have a Chinese brand phone are being banned from the popular game on Android. It has already happened with quite a few, who have all kinds of signature models.
Although it seems that they are models of the Redmi range, before it was an independent brand, those who are suffering the most from this failure. So far there has been no reaction from Niantic, nor from Xiaomi.
A solution is expected soon. Since they are users who without having done anything wrong or skipping the rules in Pokémon GO are having this problem and are banned from the game. We do not know if Niantic is already aware, but we will be attentive to the evolution of this story.
Editorial update: One of the hundreds affected by this Niantic decision has contacted us. Óscar, one of our followers on twitter, tells us that he has been a user since the launch of the game (2016) and that for 20 days he has been suffering different bans for using his Xiaomi device.
@ProfesionalRev Good evening. If you want to expand the news about unfair bans to Xiaomi users in Pokémon GO, I am at your disposal. Those affected are grouped. #NianticStopBanXiaomi

You have contacted Niantic through its Ticket system, always receiving an automatic response by the system and warning of the closure of your account. At the moment it takes two 7-day bans and now a 30-day cancellation for using a Xiaomi smartphone. Obviously, an UNFAIR situation.
According to Óscar, the group of affected has concluded that the owners of a Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi Note 5 with Android versions 8 and 10.3.2 of MIUI are suffering from this problem. At the moment it seems that Xiaomi can do little and Niantic does not make any official statement.
We just saw what is going on. For our part we can do little, have you tried talking to Niantic?
