At the beginning of this year the Acer Predator 17 X laptop was presented with brutal power for the most enthusiastic gaming sector. Acer has decided to update that proposal with new advances in technology.

Acer Predator 17 X will have a Kaby Lake processor

The new Acer Predator 17 X will maintain the benefits of the previous model and its design but updates two of the most important components, the processor and the graphics card. Now the processor will be an Intel Core i7 7820HK, which belongs to the new 'Kaby Lake' architecture and which replaces the Intel Core i7-6820HK.

The graphics card is the other component that will receive an 'upgrade' with the brand new Nvidia GTX 1080 8GB of GDDR5X memory, which replaces the beloved GTX 980.

In this way, the equipment will now have the following configuration:

  • 17.3-inch IPS screen with 4K resolution and FreeSync. Quad-core and eight-core Core i7 7820HK processor. 64 GB of DDR4. Three 512 GB SSDs in RAID 0/1, accompanied by a 2 TB HDD at 5400 RPM. USB Type-C.GTX 1080 connector with 8 GB GDDR5X. 65 Wh battery. Windows 10 Home installed.
