First benchmark of the amd r9 m295x gpu
The new AMD R9 M295X GPU based on the Tonga XT silicon has yet to be officially launched, however this GPU is the one that mounts the most powerful version of the new iMAC with Retina display so it has been subjected to a benchmark without having to wait more time.
The new AMD R9 M295X GPU has been subjected to the Cinebench R15 benchmark to evaluate its performance and has returned a result of 105.63 FPS under the OpenGL test of said benchmark. A score that beats a pretty powerful desktop card today like the Nvidia GTX 770 so AMD's new mobile GPU has respectable power, it has also proven superior to the Kepler-based Nvidia GTX 780M GPU.
Unfortunately we don't have the GTX 980 and 970M results under Cinebench R15 so we can't compare them with AMD's new Silicon Tonga XT based GPU.
